Under the agreement, the two companies will join forces in programs for the design and construction of naval platforms using state-of-the-art technologies, and will work towards the development of international business, with particular focus on both the military and civilian fields in the African, European and the Middle Eastern markets. ARES Shipyard and TKMS were already cooperating in business development, as well as in the development of production technologies and infrastructure for exports to third countries. With the new agreement, the two companies take a major step towards consolidating their existing cooperation through a longterm partnership.
