Utku Alanc, General Manager of Turkey-based ARES Shipyard,
said: “It’s been a great honour for ARES Shipyard and Turkish Shipbuilding
Industry to witness Ares 150 Hercules OPV, the Flagship of Qatar Coast Guard to
be awarded with the grand prize, especially by an international reputable
organisation, where 75% of its readers are based in Europe and Asia, and 80% of
them are solely from shipbuilding industry worldwide.”
Dozens of delegations from various countries recently
visited Ares' four different production facilities in Antalya Free Zone to view
the vessels and production technologies on site.
The Hercules series of fast patrol boats, designed and built by Ares for the Coast Guard Command of Qatar Ministry of Interior, attracted attention for their designs and capabilities, supported with ILS packages.
